Apron and Pan Conveyors
Apron Pan Conveyors
Apron pan conveyors can handle horizontal an incline angles up to 50 degrees
and material temperatures up to 2000 degrees F (1,1093 degrees C). Several pan
designs are available including the AFT design which incorporates a patented
overlap of steel pans. Spillage is minimized at step inclines or where pans
articulate over the head or tail shafts.
AFT Pan Conveyor
The AFT pan incorporates an overlap of the pans, with the horizontal overlap
shaped such that the lips contacting adjacent pans are under spring-action to
ensure reliable and closest possible contact at all angles of articulation, in
particular at steep inclinations.
An AFT pan conveyor is normally used in conveying clinker from either the kiln
to the storage silo or drawing clinker from the storage silo to the grinding
mill.
Style A - Apron design: Style “A” is a “multipurpose” overlapping pan that has endplates to contain the material. This style can also be equipped with pusher plates for inclines over 25 degrees.
Style B - Deep bucket design: Style “B” is a deep drawn bucket that the material is contained in for travel.
Style C - Pan design: Style “C” is a heavy, deep formed pan that is especially designed to transport high temperature materials.
