You can choose a standard plug-in high-efficiency NEMA/IEC motor from stock for an easy bolt-up mounting to the gear drive. Kitted Subassemblies

The Ultramite is assembled from convenient, cost-saving kitted subassemblies. Kits are stocked at Rexnord facilities and distributors, offering a wide range of sizes and ratios for assembly. Maximum local availability allows quick response to complete gear drive and spare parts requirements.

What's more, the Ultramite is available in flange-mounted housings for additional flexibility. As the Ultramite line is expanded, these same kits will be utilized in other housing configurations.

Customer Preferred Motors

The Ultramite accepts standard, off-the-shelf NEMA/IEC C-Face and Flanged motors, permitting the use of customer-preferred motor brands. The Ultramite accommodates industry-standard frame sizes-and the choice of motor manufacturer and specifications is up to you, without costly motor adapter systems and special replacement motors. It's hassle- free.

Patented Bushing

An innovative motor bushing eliminates fretting between motor and gear drive and delivers positive torque transfer. This patented design offers easy installation and allows quick, trouble-free changeout even after years of hard, continuous use.

Dimensional Drop-in Replacements with SEW Eurodrive^® and Other Configurations

The Ultramite's base mounted design has an identical footprint that matches major gear manufacturers, allowing it to be dimensionally interchanged with many installed gearmotors. Substitutions, replacements and retro-fits are made easy and trouble-free. Examining dimensions and referring to an interchange guide helps assure that all dimensional constraints are considered.

Savings

Ultramite's helical gearing is more efficient than worm gearing. As a result, a smaller motor can be used in more than 1/3rd of comparable selections providing both initial and long term savings over worm gear drives.

Reduce premature gear drive failure. During the "inhalation" cycle the AirMax media blocks moisture from entering. During the "exhalation" cycle the media allows moisture to exit.

GMAX 6000™

Horsepower, Heat, Moisture, and abrasive contamination are constantly working to break down your gear drive lubricant. GMax 6000 is designed to provide superior wear protection in the most demanding gear drive applications. GMax 6000 is a Polyalkylene Glycol based lubricant or PAG. PAG synthetics have exemplary lubricating properties over traditional Polyalphaolefin or PAO Synthetics and mineral oils. The viscosity index of PAG lubricants is double that of PAO lubricants. This means that a PAG will perform much better over the range of operating temperatures experienced by an industrial gear drive.
