Existing guard installations should be reviewed as
part of a safety upgrade program to determine if they adequately
protect employees from portential injury, based on current safety
standards. A guard assessment survey will provide a complete listing
and safety compliance assessment of the stationary rotating shaft
guards in your facility. Remedial actions will be identified to
bring non-compliant guards up to current standards. Existing guard
upgrade activities can include:
- A color change to Safety
Orange - Addition of a Safety Label - Modifications to upgrade
the existing guard - Existing Guard replacement with a new
compliant guard
