The following is the comparison of the couplings we use now and the new
Wrapflex
Coupling we should change to. This will show that it is not only cheaper than
the one we now have but it is more user friendly. The range of savings just
for the part is from 39% to 50% not to mention the time element involved (man
hours) is cut from one or two hours depending if you have to move the motor
mounts to 5 min.
By comparison it shouldn't be hard to see the need to change our system to
make us more effective in the eyes of mail flow control. With this new coupling
we can turn a break down that was taking 2 hours to a zone call and get the
equipment back in service in record time compared to the past.
The Area people are spending a lot of money and time to make the company a
more effective and cost effective unit. I think it is time we look into ways
we can assist in that effort. I feel this new coupling will start us in the
right direction and what a feather in our cap if it were to go nationally.
This coupling comes with a slide chart, to make it easier for us to match the
right coupling to the right application and also has a 3-year warranty.
